Organizational Assessments – Who needs them?

/ April 9, 2018 April 9, 2018

The word assessment can sometimes make people feel uncomfortable. They think, I don’t want someone I don’t know looking at all the things I do. People are concerned that a review of current policies and procedures may make them look bad if there are recommended changes.  However, this is absolutely not the case.  The fact is, assessments do just the opposite. They give you information about your current state and provide a roadmap for improvement; giving you the tools you need to drive your business forward.

Who Needs Assessments?

In today’s constant changing environment, there is a need for all organizations to perform periodic assessments to understand where your organization is relative to its desired state. An assessment will help you understand the root cause of an organizational issue and give you a road-map for change. We recommend doing a human resource focused assessment if your organization is experiencing any of the following:

  • Change in leadership
  • Merger & Acquisitions
  • Compliance Issues
  • Low innovation
  • Disengaged and low productivity
  • Increased or high employee turnover
  • Unclear vision, mission and values
  • Significant change in growth strategy

An assessment can be used as a launching pad to position your business for success, can provide stakeholders with information on performance, allow you to make better decisions, and better understand resources within your organization.
